How it runs

A managed rotation — base + seasonal overrides

A long-running base rotation of evergreen cards always plays. On top we drop short Spot-Mode overrides for holidays and seasonal moments, which auto-revert to the base when they end. Nothing goes stale, and no one at Skyway has to manage it.

How to render & publish a card

The repeatable spec so any card — or any operator, human or model — produces sign-correct output. Pipeline: scratchpad/render_rotation.py (PIL → ffmpeg).

🖥️ Sign & file spec

  • Sign native 128×64 (editor shows 124×64), 2:1, 10mm pitch.
  • Golden rule: Create canvas W/H == File Window W/H == media dimensions. A canvas smaller than the media = the sign crops it (the navy-background bug).
  • Render MP4 at 640×320 (5× native, crisp text); set the canvas to 640×320. The platform downscales to 128×64.
  • Encode H.264 · yuv420p · 30fps; a 38s loop ≈ 500KB.
  • Verify on Terminal → Detail "real preview" before calling it live.

🎨 Brand tokens

  • Navy #1E3A5F→#0B1628; gold #C9A96E/#E4C88A.
  • Paw + heart magenta #A8206A/#D6488F.
  • Storm #7FB4E6; heat #E8922E; alert #E4595E; white #F5F1E8.
  • Motifs: Skyway bridge cable-fan + walking paws. Heavy sans, oversized, few words.

🔁 Seamless loop

  • Fade content AND ambient particles to navy at every scene edge (first/last 0.5s), completing 0.45s before scene end.
  • Proof: pixel-diff frame 0 vs last frame == 0 → infinite loop, no jump.
  • Assets: skyway_logo_real.png, skyway_bridge.png.

⬆️ Upload → schedule

  1. Media → Upload the MP4.
  2. Create → canvas = media size → Files spawns a full-canvas File Window → Media List + → pick clip → Save.
  3. Playlist → select → Schedule → Spot Mode + Specific Day → Confirm → Apply.
  4. Verify the real preview; note the auto-revert.

Reminder rhythm: build each month's override ~1 week before its swap date; closure-hours cards get confirmed with Missy first. Login: client owns the account (skyway1); the password is entered by Corey — automation fills the username only, never credentials.
